The book What They Fought For, by James M. McPherson came in three sections. The outset chapter talked about the coadjutor side and questions what they fought for. The book also takes a play into the Union side, while the third chapter takes a serve at the thr completelydom issue by both sides. In the first chapter, it talks about what the Confederate soldiers were thinking when penning in their letter and journals. Their belief in what they called the glorious Cause was what kept them expirati on even though they were farther away from h! ome than the Confederates.
